Quality Manager

The purpose of the Quality Manager is to ensure the companies processes operate using best practice Quality management frameworks with consistency during manufacturing. This should be carried out in-line with the values of the company group strategy in encouraging continuous improvement of Quality and Service for both internal departments and customers.

Duties & responsibilities:

Role Management

  • Lead and maintain the quality business strategy in all capacities of Internal, External, Supplier & Compliance frameworks toward set objectives and targets.
  • Chair daily, weekly, & monthly quality / CI meetings to report business quality performance and trends along with relevant action plans.
  • Prepare necessary reports for review by customers, internal departments, senior management, and group.
  • Maintain and communicate Quality Assurance processes and procedures to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BRC and relevant standards to safeguard product safety.
  • Work with functional departments / personnel to maintain and improve quality processes, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Manage the Quality department team directly with training, development, and organisation.

External Customer Management

  • Work closely with the management team to ensure quality standards are maintained, developed, and continuously improved.
  • Represent Eurostampa for Quality during customer business reviews.
  • Ensure customers receive products consistently to the highest standard of quality possible.
  • Assist in identifying improvements and key objectives for the organisation to support customers expected quality levels.
  • Support customer site support visits.

Internal Quality Management

  • Responsibility for overseeing the Request for Improvement (RFI) system ensuring it is updated, corrective actions are implemented, and improvements are actioned.
  • Evaluate testing systems and prioritise projects for improving systems, methods, and processes consistent with the business quality standards.
  • Possess Responsibility and accountability for all Quality, guaranteeing compliance of standards for products and processes.
  • Support auditing and evaluation of finished products when required.

Supply Vendor Quality Management

  • Responsible for compliant onboarding, qualification, and monitoring of suppliers & outworkers.
  • Maintain supplier review and audit framework.


  • Maintain and communicate Quality Assurance processes and procedures to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BRC and relevant standards for the printing industry.
  • Support accreditation frameworks to ensure audit ready compliance with all applicable standards.
  • Lead internal quality audits to assess compliance with QMS requirements.
  • Manage Consultant resource.

For this role the candidate is required to have the following knowledge, skills and experience: –

  • A thorough knowledge of quality management and inspection systems ideally in a label / high quality printing environment
  • A proven track record of managing and maintaining Quality Assurance and external accreditations.
  • Experience of working within a multi-discipline team in a production environment
  • Experience of initiating improvements within a business and achieving “buy in” from managers, staff, and employees
  • Ability to work on his / her own initiative & collectively within a team.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
