External Sales Manager Role

You will be tasked with covering a dedicated geographical patch, working with an internal co-ordinator partnership, with the sole aim of growing new business and developing the existing customer base.

Being able to plan and organise your time effectively, is a big part of the role. You will be outgoing, approachable and will be skilled in building lasting relationships with key customers. We are known for providing exceptional service, and this role is no different.

External Sales Manager Key Duties:

· Working with a dedicated internal co-ordinator, you will require excellent communication and team working.

· Creating and implementing a business plan for allocated territory to maximise sales & deliver excellent standards of customer service & support.

· Working to set Sales and Gross Profit forecasts.

· Maintaining and developing existing key accounts, whilst also identifying prospective companies.

· Regularly meeting with customers face to face, with 80% of your time being spent field based.

· Working with and updating bespoke CRM system to follow up all leads, enquiries/quotes.

· Providing a consultative approach with customers, creating effective solutions to meet their needs.

· Developing & maintaining a strong knowledge of all packaging solutions and full product range.

Do you have the correct profile?

We would love to hear from you if you are an experienced B2B sales professional (ideally within the packaging or corrugated sector with a minimum of 2 years field based/customer facing experience). You will be an effective negotiator, with the ability to actively build strong relationships via first class communication and influencing skills. You will enjoy genuinely ‘adding value’ to customers as your prior experience will already have seen you selling a solution. Selling with integrity, you will be accustomed to ensuring customers are fully satisfied and will be able to illustrate a recent track-record of success in meeting sales targets.

Living locally within the local area is desirable and having a valid UK driving license is essential.
