I am currently recruiting for a client, who are actively seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. They are an established groundworks company that undertakes projects across the Highlands of Scotland for a variety of clients. As this post will be Highland wide we would be flexible in regard to location, however, travel would be expected between our project locations and our offices in Caithness and Inverness.

Responsibilities

Preparing accurate bills of quantities and cost estimates

Compilation of costs for compensation events and the management of change

Management of Change Control including Early Warnings and Compensation Events

Assist to avoid disputes with clients, suppliers and subcontractors

Preparing valuations for payment applications to the client

Qualifications

To be considered for this position you will have at least 2-3 years previous experience within a Quantity Surveyor role ideally within an engineering or construction environment, you will be Degree level qualified or be a holder of a professional qualification accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent experience. The ideal candidate will be able to interpret and understand contract documents, scopes of works and contract drawings. Hold an appropriate CSCS card.
